Overview of the WorkForge LMS
The WorkForge LMS is a comprehensive and compliant Learning Management System. Our online learning platform houses all your development information, launching and tracking your training modules and records in one place. Operated entirely on the cloud and mobile-friendly, learning and development are at the click of a button.
Our LMS includes the following features:
- Learning Management: Instructors can create and structure courses, upload content, organize learning materials, and monitor progress. Learners can enroll in courses, access resources, and track their progress.
- Content Delivery: Various formats for delivering content are available, such as learning paths, library courses, online content, assessments, and videos.
- Reporting and Analytics: Generate reports on learner engagement, course completion rates, assessment results, and other key metrics.
- Assessment and Feedback: Assessment tools, such as quizzes, assignments, and exams, evaluate learners' understanding and knowledge retention. Instructors and supervisors can grade assignments, sign off on competencies, and provide feedback directly within the LMS.
Why use an LMS?
There are many advantages for an organization and a learner:
- Performance tracking for administrators to monitor individual and group progress, identify areas of improvement, and measure training effectiveness.
- Meet regulatory and compliance requirements by assigning mandatory training, tracking learner progress, and issuing certificates upon course completion.
- Reduce the need for physical classrooms, classroom instructors, travel costs, and printed materials.
- Automate administrative tasks, such as enrollment and reporting, saving time for instructors and administrators.
- Provide consistent and standardized learning experiences throughout the organization.
Navigating the LMS as a Team Leader
The team leader role is often assigned to supervisors, department heads, managers, or teachers within training institutes. Team leaders have more restrictive permissions than the team admin roles.
Team leaders are responsible for their direct reports and can only access information about their direct reports. There are many tasks team leaders must perform to manage their direct reports. A few of the main tasks include:
As a Team Leader, you may often use these functions of the platform:
- My Team Home page lists your direct reports and provides quick links for various tasks. This button does not appear for Learners. Here you'll see your direct reports and indication of the number of assignments due or overdue.
- Catalog menu option will show all the courses available to you and your team(s).
- My Learning menu shows your current learning, learning history, available learning paths, and learning requests.
- Reporting section is where you can run and schedule reports on the users that report to you.
- User Summary: Team leaders can manage and create new users from the User Summary page. Refer to the Creating Users and User Groups module for detailed instructions on managing and creating users.
- Manager Learning Paths provides a list of the learning paths that the team leader created. The list summarizes how many days the learner has to complete the learning path, the number of courses in the learning path, and the number of users enrolled in the learning path. From this screen, you can create new learning paths and enroll users as needed.
