Expiring Users

When a user leaves the organization, you'll need to expire them in the LMS. You can also reactivate them.

This article is for Team Leaders and Team Admins.

Expiring Users

When a user is leaving the organization, you will want to expire the user in the LMS to lock them out of the system. To expire a user, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the User Summary
  2. Click on the text box and type the user’s name, email, external ID, or username. 
  3. Click on the Search button. The screen will display results that match the search.  
  4. Click on the Actions icon next to the user. A drop-down list will appear.  
  5. Select Edit Profile.
  6. Scroll down and click on the End Date field. A calendar will appear. Select the date and time you want the user to expire.
  7. Click on the Save button. An X will appear next to the user’s profile indicating that the user is expired.

To confirm the user is expired, navigate back to the User Summary and complete the following steps: 

  1. Click on All Filters to open the filter options.
  2. Click on Expired to view all expired users. 
  3. Click on the Apply Filters button. The user summary will display all expired users.

Re-activate an Expired User

To re-activate an expired user, complete the following steps: 

  1. From the User Summary, click on the Actions icon next to the user. 
  2. Select Edit Profile
  3. Clear the End Date by clicking the X in the End Date field.  
  4. Click on the Save button.  

Return to the User Summary to confirm the user is active again.
